HEX BOLTS

The Hex Bolt is a medium to high carbon steel, heat treated and hardened. Hex Bolts are used in machinery, fabrication and construction applications. The Hex Bolt is designed to fit a spanner or wrench allowing you to tighten the screw to your exact specifications and is the most common type of Hex Bolt.

Dimensional Standards:  IS1364, ISO 4014, ISO 4017, DIN 933, DIN 931, BS 1083, BS 1768, ASME B18.2.1, JIS B1180, DIN 558, ISO 4018, DIN-EN14399-4, DIN 601, ISO 4016, CSN 21301, EU 24016, DIN 7968, DIN7990

Hex bolts are a type of threaded bolt, characterised by their six-sided hexagonal-shaped head. Hex bolts can be either fully threaded or partially threaded (featuring a clear shank along part of the body) and are suitable for use in a wide range of applications, typically machinery and construction.

  • Stainless steel 18-8
A corrosion resistant steel alloy. The most common stainless steel for general hardware use.
  • Structural bolts A325
The most common type of bolt used in structural connections offering a larger diameter hex head.
  • Stainless steel 304/ 316 / 316L
A highly corrosion resistant grade of stainless steel. Ideal in salt water and chlorine environments.
  • Zinc plated steel
A low carbon steel for general use, either Grade 2 or A307A. Zinc plated for moderate corrosion resistance.
  • Zinc plated grade 5 steel
A tempered medium carbon steel. Zinc plated for moderate corrosion resistance. Grade 5 falls between grade 2 and grade 8 in strength, and is commonly found in automotive applications.
  • Zinc plated grade 8 steel yellow
A tempered medium carbon steel. Zinc plated for moderate corrosion resistance. Grade 8 is stronger than grade 5, and is commonly found in high strength automotive applications.
  • Grade 8 steel plain finish
A tempered medium carbon steel. Grade 8 is stronger than grade 5, and is commonly found in high strength automotive applications. Unplated finish.
  • Chrome plated steel
A low carbon steel for general use. Chrome plated and polished for a mirror like finish.
  • Hot dipped galvanized steel
A low carbon steel for general use, either Grade 2 or A307A. Hot dipped galvanized is a coating for very good corrosion resistance.

ASTM bolt grades:

1. ASTM A193 – Bolts and nuts for use in low temperature and high temperature applications.
2. ASTM A307 – Carbon and alloy steel bolts used in general structural applications.
3. ASTM A325 – High strength bolts for structural use.
4. ASTM A354 – Alloy and steel bolts for structural use.
5. ASTM A490 – High strength bolts for structural use.

Since it is made out of such strong materials, these high quality bolts are often used in high-temperature environments like automotive parts assembly. These Hex Bolts can also be used in marine and coastal operations due to its anti-corrosion property. We ensure that all our products are durable and high strength components which can only enhance your work’s credibility.
